The Helsinki metropolitan cycling and outdoor map shows the outdoor and cycling paths, outdoor recreation areas, parks, sport and exercise areas and interesting cultural and nature sites in Helsinki, Vantaa, Espoo and Kauniainen. The map is for year-round use and also includes skiing tracks and outdoor paths with snow removal in the winter.

The Outdoor Exercise Map is an open communications channel for checking the condition of outdoor sports facilities in Helsinki, Espoo and Vantaa. The Outdoor Exercise Map helps the inhabitants of the municipality find up-to-date information on the City’s outdoor sports services.

The outdoor recreational areas and swimming halls are available for everybody in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area.
Outdoor Recreation Areas
Nuuksio National Park spreads across Espoo, Vihti and Kirkkonummi. The National Park forms the westernmost part of the so-called Nuuksio lake highlands, the largest and most important unbroken wilderness area in Uusimaa in terms of its natural value. It covers an area of 37 square kilometres.
Sipoonkorpi Nature Reserve is located within the municipalities of Sipoo, Vantaa and Helsinki. It is one of the most significant forest areas with no buildings near the Helsinki metropolitan area.
Haltia is a visitor centre, bringing all of Finland’s nature under one roof. Nature from all over Finland can be experienced in the Helsinki region.

With the joint membership card for the cities in the Helsinki metropolitan area, youth between the ages of 7 and 29 can participate in activities in Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa and Kauniainen free of charge. At the youth centres, youth can meet friends, play games and listen to music. The centres also offer various courses, camps, events and hobby groups.
