Photo contest on metropolis and sea

HSY Water, responsible for water management in  the Helsinki region, has announced an open photo contest to celebrate the centennial of water protection in Helsinki. The theme of the contest is “the metropolis and the sea”.

Contestants can submit no more than three unpublished photos. The photos must have been taken by the contestants themselves, and the contestants must retain full rights to the photos. Any people appearing in the photos must give permission for publication.

The photos should be mailed by August 31, 2010 to HSY Water, P.O.B. 303, 00066 HSY. Mark on the envelope “Valokuvakilpailu” (“Photo contest”).

The first prize is €4,000, second prize €2,000 and third prize €1,000. The best photos will also be compiled into an exhibition and displayed in Virka Gallery at the Helsinki City Hall.
