Helsinki region welcomes new residents in theme weeks
Helsinki Region Welcome Weeks are a special programme for both new and old residents of Helsinki, meant to acquaint the new ones in the region’s services and people.
The two-week series of happenings stems from the awareness that there is a growing number of international and internationally-minded people in the region. The Welcome Weeks help them build social networks through various activities and learn about the region at informational events.
Participants can join a tour to museums and cultural centres. They can take advantage of a sizable information package about information services available to newcomers, Finnish language studies and schools.
Hidden Helsinki City Race is meant for students, who are led to orienteer through the city to find new places and solve tasks related to the city and studies.
Helsinki Region Welcomes Weeks embrace 40 happenings. The weeks run from September 19th to October 2nd.
