Christmas memorandum in Metropolitan Area

Christmas memorandum includes information about transportation, doctor's emergency duties, opening hours of libraries and sports facilities etc. during the festive season.

Traffic
Christmas Eve 24/12 Saturday traffic, which ends approximately at 15:30 hours. Christmas Day 25/12 traffic will begin approximately at 11:00 according to Sunday schedules. Boxing Day 26/12 Sunday traffic. Early morning lines will run the night of Sat-Sun.

New Year's Eve 31/12 weekday traffic. Extra departures for night traffic. New Year's Day 1/1/2010 Sunday traffic.

Twelfth Night 5/1/2010 weekday traffic. Early night lines will be at service. Epiphany 6/1/2010 Sunday traffic.

Health Services
Call (09) 10023 always when you are in need of information about health, illnesses or health care services. Telephone Health Service is open 24 hours in every day of the year. Service is given by professional nurses with long experience in health care. Service costs the price of a normal telephone call.

In the event of serious illness, accident or other emergency, call 112. The Alarm Centre will assess the situation and will either arrange for help or advise where the patient should go for medical care.

Libraries
All City Libraries are closed during Christmas from December 24th until December 26th. The libraries are closed on Sunday December 27th as well. On 23rd of December the libraries will be open as on Saturdays.

On New Year’s Eve, December 31st, the libraries will be open as on Saturdays. Libraries are closed on New Year's Day January 1st.

On Tuesday, January 5th the libraries will be open as on Saturdays, and closed on the Twelfth Day.
