The application period for upper secondary education in March

The application period for upper secondary education runs from 1 until 19 March. The applications should be submitted using the electronic application form available at www.haenyt.fi.

The spring joint application is intended for those applying for general upper secondary and vocational education starting in autumn 2010. The electronic application must be submitted by 19 March, at 4.15 pm. The application may also be submitted in writing to the National Board of Education. Application forms are available from guidance counsellors and the Employment and Economic Development Office.

Important dates in the joint application system
- Application period March 1–19, 2010.
- Possible entrance, aptitude or language examinations April 26 – May 28, 2010.
- Results are published on Friday, June 16, 2010 at the earliest. Each school will send individual decisions to admitted students.
- Study places should be accepted as soon as possible in accordance with the instructions provided by the school. The latest date to accept a study place is June 30, 2010.
- Supplementary application period in the joint application system is from July 12–23, 2010 to unfilled study places.
